MSB: “Karadeniz’de tespit edilen şüpheli cisimler imha edildi”

The Turkish Ministry of National Defense announced that in the Black Sea continuous 24‑hour reconnaissance and surveillance are ongoing to counter the threat of drifting mines. The operations are carried out daily by ships and sea‑air assets under the command of the Naval Forces.

In the regions of Ereğli, Sakarya Karasu, Istanbul Karaburun, Türkeli Demir Sahası, and Çatalca, vessels detected suspicious objects on the water. These were assessed as potentially unmanned aerial or kamikaze unmanned surface vessels.

SAS teams on site successfully destroyed the suspected objects. The Naval Forces maintain 24/7 surveillance to secure the Black Sea’s critical ports and commercial routes.
